I bought my home in March, 1993,
so my son could come from London and live with me. The first things I did were
plant pear trees and paint. In 2009, Wells Fargo offered me a HAMP loan modification. I made the trial period payments but Wells Fargo reneged.
When I bought my home I was a hard-working, well liked Realtor with lots of referrals. But, IRS started enforcing for 1984, ten years after the fact, even though I’d paid in 1985. IRS put me out of business when it took two new construction commissions in a row. US News & World Report verified my story and used my experience in a piece US News ran in 1996 about IRS abuse of taxpayers.
